It's Time to Nominate your 2009-10 umattr senior!!!

The program promotes 12 High School Seniors with diverse interests who are committed to living drug, alcohol and tobacco free to serve as mentors for children in the community. Their interests may be sports, FFA, photography, music, chess, computers, or any other positive interest.

These teens will act as mentors and are committed to sharing their positive message with children in our communities.  They are each featured on their own trading card, which they take to area elementary schools and community events to sign for younger students.  They discuss their choices and hope to help these children see that it is possible to be “cool” and still make the right decisions in life. After the younger students have collected all 12 cards and have them signed they may then enter a drawing to win prizes at the end of the school year.

The program is designed to promote real world role models for children.  Candidates for the program will be asked to sign a contract to remain drug, tobacco, alcohol and legal trouble free for their senior year, and will be given a $1000 scholarship.

Sponsorship Opportunities For The 2009/2010 School Year

Scholarship Sponsors - $1,000 each for a total of $12,000
A business may sponsor multiple students should they desire, on a first come, first served
basis.  The Scholarship Sponsors will have their names appear on the cards of the student(s)
they are sponsoring.  Providing funds for a large part of the cost associated with the
program, the Scholarship Sponsor will:

  • Have prominent Logo placement on front bottom left of each trading card printed for the sponsored students.
  • Logo placement near and sponsor mention in article featuring each student selected for the 09/10 program in the Oct/Nov San Juan County Kids Newspaper.
  • Have Logo placement on both the UmattR and Safe Communities websites.
  • Program Support Plaque for your place of business
  • Sponsorship mention at any public speaking engagements
  • Be recognized at the “kick off” orientation ceremony, set sometime in September.
  • Be eligible for a Card signing opportunity at your business location.

Gold Sponsor-$4000 (2 Gold Sponsorships available)
The Gold Sponsor will also be featured prominently as sponsors of the program.
The Gold Sponsors will:

  • Have Logo placement on back, bottom, center of six of the students trading cards. (Logo placement on 30,000 trading cards!)
  • Have Logo placement on UmattR and Safe Communities websites.
  • Logo placement near article featuring each student selected for the 09/10 program in the Oct/Nov San Juan County Kids Newspaper.
  • Be recognized at the “kick off” orientation ceremony, set sometime in September.

 Silver Sponsor-$2000 (6 Silver Sponsorships available)
The Silver Sponsor will:

  • Have Logo placement on back, bottom, corner of four students trading cards.  (Logo placement on 10,000 trading cards!)
  • Have Logo placement on UmattR and Safe Communities websites.
  • Logo placement near article featuring each student selected for the 09/10 program in the Oct/Nov San Juan County Kids Newspaper.
  • Be recognized at the “kick off” orientation ceremony, set sometime in September.

Monetary donations are accepted and will be honored as follows:
