Tommy Roberts Encourages Community Spirited Youth

December 3, 2014

Mayor Roberts, City of Farmington, continues youth driven leadership with the Mayor’s Teen Advisory Council.  The “Council” or MTAC was first established by Mayor Bill Standley, who wanted to give young people a voice in local government.  San Juan County teens are involved as well as teens from Aztec, Bloomfield, and Farmington.  Scott Eckstein, Mayor of Bloomfield, and Mayor Roberts addressed MTAC in March about city government and making a difference by becoming involved in your community.

The Mayor’s Teen Advisory Council meets in the Teen Zone at the Farmington Public Library (2101 Farmington Ave.) at 6:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month during the school year (September – April).
